Uses of Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Use Case 1
We use Past Perfect Continuous Tense for an action that began before a certain point in the past and continued up to that time.
At that time, she had been developing an app for three months.
I had been waiting for you since morning.
Use Case 2
Past Perfect Continuous Tense is used to say that something had been happening for a period of time before something else happened.
When you joined the company in 2015, Mr. Anand had already been working here for four years.
We had been playing rugby for about an hour when it started to rain very heavily.
